Horii Shichimeien Matcha Narino

This is one of the best Matchas ever made, our love for it is never ending. The tencha for this Matcha is grown directly from Horii Shichimeien’s own Okunoyama tea garden in Uji, only small amounts are produced every year. We could not be happier to finally be able to present it!

It is a single cultivar (the rare cultivar Narino) Matcha, the flavour is nutty, has a fine umami, sweetness and no bitterness.

This Matcha is well suited for the preparation as Koicha, and thus also Usucha!

It has been recognized with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries’ Award at the National Tea Competition (2010) and the Grand Prix at the Japanese Tea Selection Paris (2010).
