This event will shed a light on a kind of tea, that is usually not associated with Japan firstly: Oolong or Ichoucha.
Featuring the whole spectrum between lightly oxidized to very oxidized, from steamed to pan-fried, from withered to roasted, this tasting will demonstrate the vast flavour maps Japanese Oolong Cha can boast.
Together we will taste:
Kirishima Miumori Mi-No-Ka Oolong – a semi fermented Benifuuki Cultivar Ichoucha by Osamu Hayashi
Minami Sayaka Oolong Kamairicha – a pan fried Minami Sayaka Oolong by Kourogi San
Suikyo Woodwind Oolong Tamaryokucha – a „green jewel“ rolled tea by Suikyo
Wazuka Yūki Oolong Cha – a Zairai Oolong from Kyoto prefecture, medium „hojicha style“ roasting
